Lily Donaldson
Lily Donaldson's face is unforgettable. She has appeared in ad campaigns for Dior, Burberry, Dolce&Gabbana and Jil Sanders. With a resume like hers, it is not necessary to point out that her career is exploding. Vogue U.S. named her one of the most promising models with Raquel Zimmermann, Jessica Stam and Hilary Rhoda.

Donaldson gives the impression of transforming with every shoot and show, as if she has not yet finished growing. She is giving more and more of herself and becoming increasingly charismatic. Her beauty potential seems to be unlimited. She radiates health in contrast with certain thinner girls, i.e., Donaldson is slim, not scrawny. Most of all, she makes it all look effortless.
He family environment predisposed her to a career in fashion. Her father, Matthew Donaldson, is a famous photographer and little Lily grew up in front of his camera in their London home. Despite being so natural and spontaneous when photographed, she did not set out to become a model.
Donaldson was discovered at 13 while out shopping with her parents by a modeling agency headhunter. The headhunter was stunned by the young adolescent's beauty and grace. A contract was quickly signed, and Donaldson's success was immediate. Since then, she has appeared in prestigious campaigns like Burberry and Dolce&Gabbana.

She was in all the fall/winter 2004-2005 shows, e.g., Vuitton, Chanel, and Yves Saint-Laurent. She was photographed by Steven Meisel, Satoshi Saikusa and Corine Day for Vogue Italy. However, it was not until 2005, the year that she turned 18, that her career took a new path when she was nominated "Best Model of the Year" at the British Fashion Awards.
Even though the award was given to Karen Elson, Donaldson's nomination consolidated her status as a key model and placed her among the top international models. Since then, she has been considered one of the most coveted top models, and is also, by the way, Alber Elbaz's model of choice. In 2007, Donaldson was definitely one of those automatically booked for the shows.

She is part of the girls selected by Vogue when the magazine wanted to illustrate the future of modeling last May. With her in the photo were: Doutzen Kroes, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmermann, Sasha Pivovarova, Agyness Deyn, Coco Rocha, Hilary Rhoda, Chanel Iman and Jessica Stam. She even succeeded in dethroning Kate Moss for the latest Burberry campaign in which she appears next to Agyness Deyn.
