Hye Park
This is the first time that an Asian model has been placed among the top 50 models en vogue. Hye Park, originally from Korea, has been a sure value in fashion since 2005. The charm of her atypical physique finished by overcoming the informal beauty standards held in the fashion world.

Park began her modeling career at 20, relatively late compared to her colleagues. This did not prevent her from taking over as soon as she arrived on the scene, however, and becoming one of the stars of her agency, New York Trump Management.
Some say that she was discovered by an agency while in a shopping mall, but in reality, she responded to an ad on the radio. She had always wanted to be part of the fashion world ever since she was a teenager, so when the opportunity presented itself, she took it.
She made it past the first selection, and the next phase brought her to Los Angeles. There she was rejected because of her walk, which was not what was wanted for the shows. Park did not give up, however, and during the next two days practiced walking in her hotel room. The third day, she tried again and this time, she was selected by the Trump Agency.
Since then, she has been very fortunate. In less than 6 months time, she posed for Steven Meisel and appeared on the cover of Vogue Italy. In addition, the top Asian model at the time, Tominaga Ai, was pregnant and could not work the shows - Anna Sui and Marc Jacobs decided to replace her with Park.

She was a sensation during the shows - her freshness, graceful silhouette and feline regard did not go unnoticed and her name was noted by many. Roberto Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana asked for her for the ad campaigns and she also appeared in numerous fashion editorials directed by prestigious photographers.
The fact that she spoke English fluently helped her to adapt easily and integrate into the fashion world. Park walked in almost all the fashion weeks. Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Burberry and even Chanel who is known for not favoring Asian models, fell for her diaphanous silhouette (1m78 / 5'8" and 48 kg / 105 lbs).

Offers began rolling in from all sides, and Park quickly saw the necessity of having an agent in each major fashion city: Paris, Milan, London, and Tokyo. She dreamt of making the cover of Vogue U.S. and several months later, the dream came true. Despite her 23 years, her bowed legs and her non-Bundchen/Ward morphology, Park is on all the catwalks.
Park is a young, confident woman who believes in her guardian angel; but if everything were to end tomorrow, she would calmly take up her previous life, finish her studies in biology and become a veterinarian.

Park's dream has come true. She walks for the biggest designers, travels by air several times per week and poses for high-ranking magazines. She says that everything that happens from here forward is a bonus and that the stress of her beginnings has completely left her, making way for a serene happiness, the pleasure of being where she wants to be and savoring each instant.
As for her style, like many of her colleagues, Park likes relaxed, cool clothes, a bit distinguished and easy to wear. She finds her pieces going around in New York, her adopted city since she started working, or in the markets when she returns to Korea.
Despite living in the U.S., she remains very attached to her home country and its culture, its music and spicy dishes. Hye Park was again very visible during the last New York shows.
