Head Band by Kitsune
27 10 2010Miuccia Prada, by covering her fall/winter 2010-2011 show with multiple knit accessories, initiated a trend that is proving to be far from insignificant. Her retro silhouettes may make us want to try the cozy headband...

Sometimes rustic, Alpine, Irish, roots, vintage, cropped or oversized, knits are more than ever in full sail in 2010.
This being said, the fact that the fashion world finds itself suddenly chilled to the point of obsessing on knitwear does not mean that we should give in unconditionally to the Prada look, composed of the all-knit pullover/skirt combo. In fact, when it is a question of strong trends, it is better to use them sparingly, or run the risk of watching them cannibalize our entire wardrobe.
In this particular case, in order to be in step with the times, it would be pointless to ask your great aunt to remake your wardrobe in jersey, garter stitching, cable knitting, etc. All you need is to own a strong accessory that, worn with a timeless outfit, will give it the chic and cozy aura that Miuccia Prada so well used in her show.
Take, for example, the woolen headband. In addition to being easy to wear, it also offers the advantage of fulfilling the knitwear and retro trends, as well as proposing an elegant girly alternative to the sometimes too-regressive caps and ear warmers.
Topshop is already proposing several very attractive models, but we prefer the one by Kitsuné, with its 50s bow tie, its college girl look and discreet knit.
