Katie Holmes, Taking a Vacation from Style

Regardless of the fact that She incarnated the elegant Jackie in the series, The Kennedy's, Katie Holmes has recently adopted a no-look style. This metamorphosis is enough to raise doubts regarding her status as an icon of casual chic fashion.

One advantage of being a common mortal and not a star is the possibility of spending an off day with a big mug of tea, without running the risk of being photographed. This is unfortunately not the case for paparazzi targets that, regardless of their mood, cannot escape the often-unflattering flashes of the cameras.

This is how we were able to observe that Holmes has recently decided to go on a style strike. Whereas until now, she has accustomed us not to ultra-developed looks, but to a pretty, casual, only slightly-studied style, she seems to have gone over to the dark side of the force by crossing the closely guarded border between effortless and neglected.

Whereas it would have sufficed to choose a slightly less basic top, to avoid wearing a horribly dull pullover with a pair of unspecial jeans, and to top off her fetish vague dress and long vest with a real chignon worthy of the name, Holmes knowingly adopted the panoply of the overextended mother not having one second to think about her wardrobe. However, between the army of nannies at her disposal and her husband's ample bank account, she is not lacking in time or means...

Maybe by letting down her stylistic guard, she wants us to understand that her star status does not mean that she is not an ordinary woman who sometimes wants to put aside the fashion rules.

But do not lose hope: Katie Holmes was recently seen shopping at Stella McCartney... maybe a way to ease back into the saddle?
