Kate Moss: Singer?

After the invasion of Karl Lagerfeld's protégé, Baptiste Giabiconi, into the world of music with his now legendary "Showtime", it is now the invincible Kate Moss' turn to give her singing voice a try.

Ever since the end of her Topshop collaboration was announced, it would seem that Moss is looking for a new project to take up her time. Her modeling career is still going strong (Balmain, Isabel Marant and YSL are giving her a lot of visibility this season), but it no longer seems to be enough. At almost 38, it is understandable that Jamie Hince's fiancé might want to widen her horizons.

This summer, the top model admitted that she could imagine launching a line of home made jams, then more recently saw herself opening a modeling school. However, while these various projects remain up in the air, it may be that the real thing will be the one mentioned by the Daily Mail: Kate Moss is currently working on her first album.

In the end, this announcement is not that surprising - Moss' longtime interest in music is no secret. She has appeared on stage during Babyshambles concerts (a group led by her ex-boyfriend, Pete Doherty), and was also photographed for the latest Bryan Ferry album cover... not to mention the fact that her last two boyfriends are both musicians.

At a moment when actresses much less charismatic than Moss are going for the microphone, the most rock-n-roll fashion model would be mistaken not to try her luck. Here's hoping that her album will actually be finished and that Moss will succeed once again in conquering the world.
